Pomodori

It is so gratifying to wander in the garden at this time of year and gaze upon the fruits of our labour (actually Mr. Cowboy does all the work but I do offer tidbits of advice and supply him with strips of quilting cotton to tie up his precious tomatoes).

Pancake Lake

Just an ordinary Sunday but we made it special with two kinds of pancakes; Fluffy Griddle Cakes and Pecan Pancakes with Maple-Glazed Peaches. Would have been perfect if I had remembered to add salt to the Pecan Pancakes.

A wonderful breeze coming off the lake as I beachcombed; brought home one crushed beer can and a really nice chunk of driftwood.
A quick stop at Tranquille on the Lake for some veggies.

Gingersnap hike

You get the feeling of being far away from it all even though if you turn your head at some point you can see the houses or hear the hum from the freeway.

This was the Big Boy at the Farmers Market this morning; I wonder if anyone took him home.
We brought home a basket of peaches from Oliver and to go with them I made Gingersnaps.

Art?

I'm not sure about this one.

Beachcomber

The sand stretches for miles, the waves flirt with your toes, and the salty perfume invades your nose as you walk hunched over searching for the perfect shell, a smooth chunk of driftwood, or a fist-sized agate.
The latest bag is made for beachcombing or shopping.

Twins!

They went through our backyard first, munching on leaves from our tomatoes and apple trees. Had a quick drink in the bird bath before they headed over to the neighbour's empty lot and then down the hill to the river.
