Picture it - Spencer Hill,Grand Forks 1979. It is a hot spring day in the Sunshine Valley but we are sitting in a cool kitchen enjoying kalachi (sour cream cookies) with a bowl of home-preserved cherries. The combination of fluffy cookie with the sweet, juicy cherries is out of this world. I help myself to more, unashamedly dunking my kalachi into the cherry juice not even caring as the juice runs down my chin. Have more they say and I do.
We had rain, snow, and even frost but these beauties are still looking good.
It is pouring out but with these boots I don't mind walking out in the rain.
A late birthday gift but such a nice surprise!
This morning we walked the Reservoir Trail; going up the sun was beating down on us, coming down the wind wiped the sun's glow off our faces.
It's nice to just walk around the neighbourhood; check out all the new construction, renos, and all the flowers in bloom.
A good walk (not a hike) around Riverside Park, Cowboy lunch at the look-out, and some productive studio time made for a great Saturday.
Cold and sunny and windy but we hiked up to the radio tower to enjoy the view and the quiet.
Mr. Cowboy said he couldn't do any yardwork today because there were two deer napping in the backyard. I forgive him this time because look what he made for dinner! Creamy Chicken Potpie washed down with an ice cold Moretti.
The "Easter Bunny" surprised us with an early morning visit.
