Colourful Sunday

Great way to start the morning; Blueberry  Buttermilk Muffins with Brown Butter, recipe from my good friend Mary Ann. Thus fortified we trekked up Humphrey Road to Monarch up the hill to Robson, down the hill to Gleneagles and back home.

This isn't the first time we have had breakfast for dinner alla Shirley
Valentine. Eggs and chips are great but we kicked it up a notch with these Maple-Glazed Pork Meatballs. The apple, garlic, and fennel seeds are what make these little orbs so good. Recipe is from "Breakfast for Dinner" by Lindsay Landis and Taylor Hackbarth.

I thought we  had had enough asparagus but after tasting this wonderful spring vegetable from Armstrong we will be eating it until this harvest is done.
As usual, I have started a pot of basil and it literally sprouted overnight, that is how hot it is in our kitchen bump-out. Pesto, pesto, do your very besto.....
